Travis Guida

 

Travis Guida, is the Co-Founder of C4. Travis is an expert in character development. “We aim to develop character by challenging all aspects of our guests. The greater the risk, the greater the reward. Not only is it our hope to change lives at all levels, we want you to have the most fun you’ve had…ever.” Travis teaches at the Bemidji High School and coordinates a student leadership program called Link Crew. He played football at the University of North Dakota and has served as a head coach and assistant in a number of sports.

In his spare time, you’ll catch him eyeing his favorite websites such politico.com or realclearpolitics.com. But his real passion is his family and his faith and partnering with his wife Sarah to facilitate extraordinary experiences for people everyday.

Sarah Coumbe-Guida

 

Sarah Coumbe-Guida, is the Co-Founder of C4. Sarah has pioneered a camp for youth with special needs known as Family Foundations Minnesota. She has a proven track record for working with educators, foster and adoptive parents, and community members. Sarah is an expert in behavior modification and has been teacher of Emotional/Behavioral Disorders for 13 years. She has taken extensive graduate credits, focusing on counseling and organizational psychology. She loves nutrition, health, and exercise and adds these components to her work at C4.

Sarah’s passion is to have participants at C4 receive character education. She likes to combine adrenaline, teamwork, and challenges to help each individual reach their potential. Travis and Sarah will help you redefine commitment and they aim to be a top resource for team building in Minnesota.

Bill Buggert

 

Bill Buggert is a former Major in the United States Air Force. Bill joins C4 with extensive training in communications, team building and leadership development. Bill spent eleven years with Teamworks, Inc. specializing in team building, problem solving, and personality profiling, He has a knack for experiential and application based training.

Bill loves the outdoors and the challenges of the C4 course. He and his wife Barry have 4 children and 9 grand children.

From the Directors: When Sarah and Travis have stepped away, Bill becomes Lead Facilitator and we are blessed to have him on our team! Without a doubt, C4 does not operate without his leadership and devotion.

Morgan Marcussen

 

Morgan Marcussen graduated from the University of Minnesota and majored in K-8 Education and Gopher Hockey! She is currently teaching 7th and 8th grade science in the Park Rapids school district. In the summer if she is not working at C4, you can find her with her husband Tom and son Brooks launching tennis balls for her Golden Retriever and Chocolate Lab. 2015 will see her in limited action as she adds a newborn to her family in June! She is excited to return to C4 and hopes to see you again soon on the ropes!

From the Directors: Morgan has been a key member of the C4 Team since its inception. In fact, Morgan was the first person to hear about the dream that has now become a reality!

Bryan Hirt

 

Bryan Hirt is originally from Billings, MT. He attended college at the University of North Dakota, where he competed on the swim team all four years for UND. He met his beautiful wife Beth, at UND and they have been married for 10 years.

They have 4 children: Carter, 6 1/2 years old, Brady, 5 years old, Lauren, 3 years old and Maggie, 1 year old. He currently works as a 3rd grade teacher in Park Rapids. He also coaches 7th grade football and is the assistant Boys Swimming coach.

Beth and Bryan love to do triathlons and running races. They have completed 2 marathons together and hope to finish more in the future. The thing they love to do most is relax outside with their family and eat ice cream! Bryan has been with the Character Challenge Course since it opened in 2010. His favorite element is the Leap of Faith because, “It is amazing to see people, pushed to their limits, set a goal, and then jump all out for it….and get it!”

From the Directors: Bryan’s wife Beth and her brother Aaron introduced Sarah and Travis, setting off a series of events that would eventually lead to the heart-pounding experience known as C4!

Aarin Galzki

 

Aarin Galzki PE Teacher @ Century Middle School in Park Rapids, MN for the last 8 years.
Aarin grew up in West Fargo, ND and spent most of my younger years very active in Gymnastics, Dance, Softball, and Running. She attended and graduated from NDSU in Fargo North Dakota with a BS and MS in Physical Education and has been in Park Rapids for the past 6 years Teaching and Coaching Volleyball, Gymnastics, and Softball.

Aarin has been married for 9 years and has one little boy and one girl. Aarin loves staying active and spend most of my summers outdoors playing softball, at the lake, or biking from park to park! C4 is a fantastic fit for me as I thoroughly believe in its message and incredible experience that it provides for all that attend. I’m blessed to be a part of the the Team and look forward to many fun filled seasons.

From the Directors: Aarin is one of C4’s most gifted facilitators and has a natural ability to “teach” by asking the right questions and knowing how to read a group. She is eager to learn and influence others.!

Dave Sampson

 

Dave is a professional in the Information Technology field. He has been married to Jacky for 15+ years and they have two great kids, Ethan (13) and Emma (12). Dave coaches youth sports and leads a large Middle School youth group at the church they attend. There is nothing more important to Dave than people and relationships. Expect two things when you talk with Dave, 1) the conversation will go long and 2) he will challenge you to reach a goal, achieve a dream, or eat gum stuck to the bottom of a table at DQ (he does work will middle school kids!).

Dave’s passion is helping people to realize and attain their goals through perseverance and belief in themselves. He believes there is nothing better than seeing someone overcome a perceived limitation. He values teamwork and strives to have people, families, businesses, teams and all groups at the Character Challenge Course realize they can only reach their goals together as a team and not individuals. As such, Dave will challenge, encourage, cheer, laugh, and cry with everyone that come out to C4.

At the Character Challenge Course, his favorite challenges to lead are the Leap of Faith, Commitment Bridge, and Giant’s Ladder as they lead to: belief in oneself, believe in team/others, and belief in commitment/perseverance.

Lena Seidl

 

Lena grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota and moved to Park Rapids when she was 15. She currently works at the hospital in Park Rapids. Lena has a 13 year old son named Lucas.

From the Directors: Lena is one of the most down to earth people we know. Through her life’s experiences, she is able to relate well with others and provide great insight into the growth process.

Kristi Goochey

 

Kristi is a native of Park Rapids and has made this her home with husband Aaron and their two girls Macy and Emmy.  Kristi is a graduate of NDSU, with a Bachelors in Corporate and Community Fitness.  She works at the Hubbard County DAC as an Exercise Specialist, and is also the Diving coach for the Panther Girls Swimming and Diving team.

Kristi loves the outdoors and anything to do with it. Camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, swimming and climbing in the trees to name a few.  Kristi’s family is most at peace on the lake, around a campfire, or at our hunting land.

From the Directors: If you are lucky enough to have Kristi as your Lead Facilitator, you will know it! Her passion, enthusiasm and skill is impossible to miss making her a vital Team Member at C4.

Kelsey Olson

 

Kelsey is a graduate of Bemidji High School. Next fall she plans to attend St. Catherine University to pursue a degree in physical therapy while also playing basketball. Kelsey’s favorite things to do are play basketball, ride horses, and go on outdoor adventures. She am excited for another great summer with the C4 family!

From the Directors: Kelsey provides a spark to the C4 Team with a high level of enthusiasm and great attitude. Her strong athletic background will also make her a great fit for team building!

Tony Turner

 

Tony Turner is a graduate of Bemidji High School. He enjoys summer and playing frisbee. Tony also has a passion for music and plays trumpet and sings. He enjoys helping people have fun and learn about themselves and others.

From the Directors: We have known Tony since he was just a few years old. In fact, he and Bryan are the only C4 Team members to have joined us at our wedding in 2000! Tony is a perfect fit for C4. He is a strong leader and takes a very disciplined approach to his position. We are lucky to have him on board!

Connie Carlson

 

Connie currently serves in Cass Lake School District. She enjoys family and the outdoors as well as quilting. She has also been employed as a nurse.

From the Directors: Connie is one of the most helpful, servant oriented people you can find. She brings a teacher’s heart to the course and in her role on the C4 Team.

Erin Booth

 

Erin graduated from Bemidji High School and is now at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She is majoring in biology and hoping to become a children’s doctor.

Erin loves being outdoors and can be found doing anything from canoing and camping in the Boundary Waters to hiking in the Rocky Mountains. She is excited to be a member of the Challenge Course team this summer!

Steve Booth

 

Steve Booth is an elementary teacher at a small K-12 school and lives on a lake in northern Minnesota with his wife and two college-age children. Steve coaches cross country running and speech, he’s been a Peace Corps Volunteer in PNG, tripped the BWCA many times, hiked the Superior Trail and enjoyed the view from Long’s Peak last summer. Steve loves the outdoors and is excited to facilitate your visit at the Challenge Course!

Jess Burkhamer

 

Jessica Burkhamer, MSW, LICSW, has been a Psychotherapist for more than 20 years. Most of her career has been based in private practice providing a wide range of therapies for children, adolescents, couples, and families as well as specializing in neurobehavioral disorders. Jessica taught Psychopathology as an adjunct Professor for the University of Nevada, Reno, served as Clinical Director of Healing Ministries for Sparks Christian Fellowship in Sparks, NV, and wrote a behavioral health column for Northern Nevada Family Magazine.

Ms. Burkhamer received her undergraduate social work degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1988 and her Master’s degree from New Mexico Highland University in 1989. Jessica’s history of speaking at workshops and schools promoting effective communication for families and educators has added to a distinguished reputation alongside her presentations as a ROPES course instructor. Through ROPES, she has been instrumental in the positive results achieved by couples, families, and corporations as they experience the game and problem-solving techniques that are taught. Jessica currently presents national seminars, is the author of Before Time Out-The CHOICES Program, as well as consulting and diagnostically assessing difficult cases. She is married, has two children, and lives in a resort town in Minnesota.
